Temperature Sensor

The temperature sensor of your oven works with the thermostat to control the oven’s temperature. So by any chance, if it is flawed, then it will not create the resistance it starts when the temperature rises while operating through electricity. 

Before you think of checking the temperature sensor, make sure that it is not touching the interior wall of the oven, as it may give wrong readings while you are reviewing. 

Once you are done assessing, get the sensor fixed or replaced. Or, at times, if the sensor’s position is misplaced, then putting it in the correct can position can also work.

Baking Element

The ovens are heated through a metal coil located at the base of the oven. When the electricity passes through the wires in the coil, it warms up and gets the oven ready for you to cook or bake.

Now how to understand whether it is working or not. If it is working, you will see a constant red glow when the oven is on.

To identify if the convection fan motor is defective or not, you can test it by multimeter and check its continuity, or you use your hands to move the fan’s blades. 

But if you see that there is no continuity or you cannot move the fan’s blades with your hands, then it is clear that it is defective. You immediately need to replace it or get professional help. 

Thermal Fuse

The work of the thermal fuse is to completely shut down the power off the oven if it gets overheated. So if the thermal fuse is not working, your oven will not get heated. 

Although the chances of the thermal fuse being busted are not expected, to check whether it is broken or not, you can use the multimeter to check its continuity. And if you see that it is not working, get it replaced. 

Control Board

According to the user settings, the oven’s control board has relays that send voltage to the baking and the broiler in the oven. 

So if the control board is not working correctly, it won’t be able to send the required voltage to the heating components. 

But before drawing any conclusion, make sure to check all the heating components to see if they are working correctly or not. 

Once you assure that they are working correctly, replace the control board as there is no easy way to test the control board of the oven.

Power Problem

As much as all the other elements of the oven are essential, the essential thing to check is that the oven is getting the correct amount of voltage power to operate. 

So if your oven is not heating up, check the power source with the multimeter to see if it receives the correct power voltage. 

Wire Connection

Usually, when solving problems, we all look for the more prominent components. Sometimes the little nitty-gritty things are the cause of the problem which we avoid. 

Like the wire connections that supply power to the igniter or oven element can be burned, check the wire connected to the igniter if they are burned. It is effortless to spot because the burning is very visible.

Relay Board

You will find relay boards in most of the ovens. It has many relays which control the electrical flow to the heating components of your oven. 

If any of them fails, then the oven will not be heated, so get it replaced when you are sure that any of them are not working correctly. 

Pressure Regulator and Valve

Maybe they have somehow defected, but very rarely does it happen. So before putting our brains into finding faults in them or thinking of replacing them.
